If you’ve ever thought about earning your APR – Accreditation in Public Relations – now is the time to find out more about the process. The Orange County chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (OCPRSA) will be hosting APR Information Night on Monday, August 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Communications LAB (701 E. Chapman Ave., Orange, CA 92866). OCPRSA has extended a special invitation to members of CAPIO to attend this meeting.

As you know, CAPIO recently affiliated with the Universal Accreditation Board so its members would be eligible to earn their APR credential. Earning this credential is a reflection of your drive, professionalism, and principles. It also demonstrates your mastery of today’s strategic communications practice and your commitment to lifelong learning and ethical standards. Attaining this valuable distinction is a personal and professional achievement that sets you apart from your peers and positions you as a leader and mentor in the public relations field.

OCPRSA offers a 10-week APR Study Session course each spring but the chapter is considering offering another course this fall, if there is enough interest among PRSA and newly-eligible CAPIO members. Each class features a different guest instructor whose experience and expertise will help you prepare for your panel presentation on a recent PR campaign and for the computer-based exam.

Please contact David Cordero, APR at [email protected] if you are interested in attending APR Information Night or if you have any questions. You can also find out more information here
