This is a two-day academy with robust training and presentations on day one and a field trip to California's state emergency operations center for hands-on experiences on day two. This academy is taught by public safety experts from federal, state and local government agencies such as FEMA, Cal OES, CHP, CAL FIRE, CDPH and others. It’s designed for public information professionals who understand the basics of their job and want to expand their knowledge and skills to handle the unique complexities of crises such as natural and manmade disasters. Upon arrival, you may call 916-326-5000 to see when the shuttle will be at the airport. For departures, the hotel shuttle typically departs every hour or two – but it is based upon reservations.
