Sonoma County is bouncing back! With determination and motivation, Sonoma County is returning to an area known for its beauty and booming economy, and CAPIO will be right by their side! Our strong support will be present April 9 -12 as hundreds of communications professionals journey to Santa Rosa for the annual CAPIO conference. Whether you are staying at a hotel or simply driving in, the smallest action means you’re contributing to their economic recovery. On our end, we’re still planning and enlisting conference speakers and session leaders to share their knowledge and experience. CAPIO’s four-day conference is action packed; but if you can only come for a day or two it’s still worthwhile, with learning opportunities throughout! We’ll kick off day one with a half day hands-on training session. On Tuesday April 10, we’ll hear stories, lessons learned, and tips on how to handle emergencies and crisis response from cities and agencies. With the conference being held near the fire-stricken region, CAPIO members will gain first-hand insight from speakers and colleagues who work or live in Sonoma County. From keynote speakers and session presenters, there is something for everyone. Community outreach and events, social media, and hands-on mobile session are a taste of what we have in store for you on Wednesday followed by our Awards Dinner.  Thursday wraps up with a couple of closing sessions in the morning.
